MiG Corporation made on Friday February 4 on the first flight of a MiG-29 modified according to Indian demands. "On February 4, 2010, a MiG-29UPG has made its maiden test flight, the flight lasted about an hour and it was flawless," said a spokesman of the Company.
The Indian Air Force MiG Corporation has signed a contract for $ 900 million to upgrade all its 69 operational MiG-29.
These updates include a new flying kit, which includes the Zhuk-M radar Phazotron. The aircraft is also equipped with special avionics to improve the combat capability beyond-visual-range and with the probe for in-flight refueling.
